Minister Melissa Hayward was a longtime drug and alcohol abuser in the late 80’s well into the early 90’s. She began drinking as a young girl and later at the age of fourteen began using crack cocaine. She heard the voice of God on January 29, 2001 calling her to begin her journey of recovery. Since surrendering, she has dedicated her life in helping others to live a clean and sober life.
In 2006 God spoke to Hayward’s heart and challenged her to birth, the Ministry “God’s Vessel Ministries”. God’s Vessels objective is to share the unconditional love to every vessel that God sends, to bring hope of a transformed life. In December 2006 Minister Melissa Hayward heard from God the call to Preach God’s infallible word to the nations. She began her training under the leadership of Pastor Candace-Cole Kelly of Acts Community Bible Church, in Carson Ca. On December 28, 2008 she was license to preach.
Melissa Hayward is an accomplished stage actor. Her credits include: co-starring with JAMES DeBARGE and HOWARD HEWITT in WHEN A MAN FINDS A WIFE HE FINDS A GOOD THING, which enjoyed successful runs at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre (Los Angeles), Spreckles Theater (San Diego), The El Rey Theatre (Los Angeles) and The Orpheum Theatre. Other theatre credits include BABY I’M BACK director Terry Woodard, the Steve Allen Theatre STILL I RISE director Candace Cole-Kelly for the victims of Hurricane Katrina, DECEPTION, & LEAVE THE 99 Ms. Cheryl Collins director, THROUGH THE STORM & THE GIFT director Sha’Givens at Faithful Central Bible Church and the Palace in San Francisco. Hayward has currently completed her new album entitled “Caught Up” which depicts the demoralized price she paid while using drugs and alcohol. She shares the extraordinary deliverance God granted her through the struggle, in hopes, that the truth of God is revealed through the creative sound and testimony that is expressed through her music.
